Security training for travel abroad

We prepare your employees for travel and work in countries with medium and high security risks.

Both you and your employees should know what situations and risks they might face when traveling abroad. For you to prepare for local uncertainties, we offer comprehensive training and education, as well as optional content adapted to your needs.

We tailor our training content to your requirements in close consultation, depending on the nature and intensity of potential threats. Typically, we conduct training prior to a planned trip abroad to sensitize participants to upcoming challenges.

Our training includes:

  • Case-related threat analysis of the destination country
  • Travel requirements (visa, means of payment, telephone, internet, vaccinations)
  • Safe behaviour on site (e.g. hotel/restaurant/taxi)
  • Behavioural training (entry/exit, customs, police)
  • Cultural/religious peculiarities
  • Basic training in intercultural competence

We want to offer your employees the best possible preparation for working in risky countries. To this end, our internationally experienced trainers work in a practical and target group-oriented manner.

If desired, we can extend the training to include special topics (such as behavioural training in hazardous situations or emergency medicine).

We will be happy to put together a customized package for you

Frequently asked questions

What kind of hazards can my company and employees expect when traveling abroad?

For example, international companies and their employees are the preferred target of various criminal activities (including in cyberspace). Usually, you must expect a wide range of potential risks when traveling outside of Europe. These range from natural disasters and accidents to an increased threat of crime, armed conflict and international terrorism. For example, international companies and their employees are the preferred target of various criminal activities (including in cyberspace). The consequences of natural disasters can also threaten a company and its employees both economically and physically. HARIOS can reliably prepare you for dealing with such risks with its travel training.

When should a travel training ideally take place?

We recommend that you contact us as early as possible so that we can tailor our training to your needs. However, there should be no more than three months between the actual training and the stay abroad in order to recall learned concepts when required. You should repeat travel training regularly, as this is the only way to ensure internalization of the topics.

How long do the training sessions and courses last?

The intensity and thus the length of travel training depends on your needs and the regions in which your employees are located. However, you should plan for at least one working day as classroom training.

Where will we conduct the training?

We first conduct travel trainings as classroom trainings flexibly at your premises or in conference rooms near your company. Our experts will organize all the training material. However, some (optional) training content must take place in special practice rooms, which we will make available to you.
